What to Wear for a Photoshoot that Feels Like You

Choosing what to wear for your photoshoot can be exciting, but also a little daunting!  At Viva Por Ti Photography, we want you to feel confident, comfortable, and authentically *you* in front of the camera.  Here's a guide to help you select outfits that will capture your unique personality and style:

Embrace Your Personal Style

The most important tip is to be yourself! Choose clothing that reflects your personality and makes you feel beautiful and confident.  We want to capture the real you, so avoid outfits that feel too formal or out of character.

Coordinate, Don't Match

Instead of perfectly matching outfits, opt for a coordinated look with a color palette of 2-4 complementary colors. This creates visual harmony without feeling too staged. Earthy tones, muted gem tones, monochrome palettes, beige, and taupe are all great choices!

Say No to Distractions

Avoid clothing with bold logos, busy patterns, or high-contrast stripes. These can be distracting in photos and draw attention away from your natural beauty. Keep accessories and jewelry simple or skip them altogether.

Flowy Fabrics and Flattering Fits

Long, flowing skirts, pants, or dresses photograph beautifully and add a touch of elegance to your photos. Choose clothing that flatters your figure and makes you feel comfortable and confident.

Hair and Makeup

Keep your hair and makeup natural and complementary to your features. Loose and flowing hairstyles tend to photograph well.
